🗑️ Delete Your Account

Local Vibes (Pty) Ltd · App: Local Vibes (com.mylocalvibes.app)

You can permanently delete your Local Vibes account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it — either one is complete on its own.

1. Delete in the app

If you still have the app installed, open Settings → Delete Account and confirm. Your account and data are removed straight away — no waiting period.

2. Request deletion without the app

If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, email us from the address linked to your account:

support@localvibes.me

Use the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days, and confirm by reply.

What is deleted

  • Your profile, name, email address and phone number
  • Your posts, comments, photos and videos
  • Your marketplace listings and business pages you own
  • Your events, groups you created, and safety alerts you posted
  • Your direct messages and notifications
  • Your saved items, follows and connections

Data we may keep

We retain only what we must for legal, security and fraud-prevention reasons — for example records of a completed payment or a report of abusive content — for as long as the law requires. Everything else is deleted or anonymised. See our for the full detail.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you only want to pause your visibility, you can hide your business page instead of deleting your account.
